This course will help foster carers to develop more knowledge, awareness, and understanding of the key concepts relating to discrimination, equality, and diversity. This will enable carers to continue to promote and enhance their relationships with children and young people. Our identity is made up of our language, culture, religion, beliefs, values, activities, and a multitude of other characteristics. If we lose, or are prohibited from, any of these characteristics it could negatively affect confidence, self-esteem, and personality.
